Scottish restaurants named in ‘top 1000 in the world’ list
La Liste, which is based on the compilation of thousands of publications, hundreds of guidebooks, and millions of online reviews, announced its latest global ranking of the world’s 1000 best restaurants.
This year, nine establishments in seven countries share first place. L’Enclume, which is in Cumbria and run by Simon Rogan, was among them.
Restaurants in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Argyll also took spots on the exclusive list.
The Scottish restaurants included on La Liste 1000 best restaurants in the world are:
- The Glenturret Lalique, Crieff
- Restaurant Andrew Fairlie, Auchterarder
- The Kitchin, Edinburgh
- Martin Wishart, Edinburgh
- The Peat Inn, Cupar
- Inver, Cairndow
- Number One, Edinburgh
- Cali Bruich, Glasgow
The Glenturret Lalique in Creiff was recently crowned the best in Scotland at the National Restaurant Awards.
Restaurant manager at Number One, Emma Hemy, said: “We’re honoured to be celebrated not just as one of the best restaurants in Scotland, but also the world.
