Tennis Scotland seeks new Non-Executive Directors to join our Board

Tennis Scotland are looking for people with a passion for our sport to add fresh expertise to our Board as Non-Executive Directors.

Adding to real momentum in Scottish tennis – where club membership and participation continues its impressive rise of the past few years – the roles will suit people with a broad range of sporting, business and professional experience in leadership positions who believe in the power of tennis to be a sport for everyone and a sport for life.

We’re looking for those with experience in areas such as Finance, Audit and Governance, Digital Technology, EDI and Facilities who can add knowledge and experience to our existing diverse Board, helping to support our strong executive leadership team in continuing to deliver a growing sport.

Desirable requirements include a positive track record in leadership, a keen interest in sport – ideally tennis – strong communication skills, the ability to develop and maintain trusted relationships and experience of creating an effective performance management culture.

Tennis is thriving in Scotland, with new facilities opening around the country, a blossoming new performance programme creating exciting opportunities for talented young players and a strong competition structure with a growing calendar of domestic and international events.

Non-Executive Directors are volunteers who make a time commitment of up to four Board meetings per year and other sessions as appropriate. You will be expected to play a central role in guiding the strategic direction of Tennis Scotland and monitoring the performance of the executive team. You will be offered the training you require to make a strong contribution.
