Picturesque Scots island hiring couple for dream job with £70,000 salary
A PRIVATE estate on a breathtaking Scots island is hunting for a lucky couple to fill a dream job with a generous £70,000 salary and free accommodation.
Situated approximately 20 miles off the mainland of Scotland, the remote island is renowned for its iconic whisky distilleries and pristine beaches.
An estate on the Isle of Islay is seeking a live-in couple to work five days a week, sharing a combined salary of £70,000.
There are two roles up for grabs – a housekeeper and a groundsman.
The housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of the property and overseeing other staff members.
Other duties will include laundry, ironing, managing household supplies and cooking on occasion.

Meanwhile, the groundsman will take charge of the estate’s gardens and outdoor areas – from mowing the lawns to planting, pruning, and trimming hedges.
They’ll also need to drive guests, clean cars, and keep the outside area of the property tidy.
Both applicants are required to have a driving licence and must be comfortable with dogs.
They must also be flexible with their hours “when the estate is busy”.
A rent-free three-bedroom property on the grounds of the estate will be included in the job offer.
The accommodation boasts two double and one single bedroom, a kitchen, a lounge, a family bathroom and a porch.
While the employer will cover the council tax, the successful couple will be responsible for their own utility bills.
There are CalMac car ferry crossings from and to Kennacraig on the Scottish mainland, and good public transport links on Islay.
Twice daily Loganair flights are also operated from Glasgow Airport.
