Guided by Nature unveils its Highlights of Scotland Hiking Journey – Travel Weekly
Guided by Nature lets travellers get to know place that brough whisky to the world with this 10-day Highlights of Scotland Hiking Journey.
Travellers can walk the sections of the Speyside Way, the Fife Coastal Path, and Rob Roy Way to experience that the Scots think is “pure, dead, brilliant”. Aside from 68km of curated trails covering legendary locations, the adventure includes a guided walking tour of Edinburgh’s old town, a distillery tour and tasting session with a whisky expert, and a 10-course degustation at the next-to-impossible to book restaurant inside the Monachyle Mhor Hotel where travellers also stay two nights.
Accommodation during the journey includes stays at the Rufflets Hotel, Dowan’s Hotel of Speyside, and the Kingshouse at Glencoe.
“Scotland is one of the most amazing countries in the world; in my heart, it is one of the top three places for hiking,” Guided by Nature product developer and Scotophile, Kate Croucher, said. “There is so much diversity for such a tiny landmass, and this walk packs a lot in 10 days.
“The walk follows winding country lanes through small fishing villages like Crail, and scales spectacular highland hills that open up to stunning valleys and lochs. It covers the same paths that the Royals have walked for centuries and the most iconic whisky trails in Scotland.
“Hikers will see the best, eat the best and stay at best hotels. And, because we leave the mainstream towns and go local, there’s a good chance guests will catch up with local larrikins up for some good-humoured Scottish ‘blether’.”
The 2025 Highlights of Scotland Hiking Journey offers two departures in 2025, including 18-27 July and 5-15 September with a maximum group size of 14 people. Prices start from $10,995.
