1. Two founders of the Scottish technology unicorn FanDuel have launched a new online gaming venture.
Nigel Eccles and Rob Jones have received $6 million of seed funding for BetHog.
It is described as a cryptocurrency casino and sports-betting platform with a number of exclusive games. The business will have operations in the United States and Europe, including a presence in Scotland.
The funding for BetHog was led by 6MV with Will Ventures, Bullpen Capital, Karatage and Advancit Capital also involved.
2. The owner of the five-star Fife Arms is expanding the hotel’s Highlands footprint with the purchase of a church.
