Striker Che Adams has pulled out of the squad after suffering an injury.

He was forced-off just 17 minutes into Torino’s defeat to Fiorentina with a muscle problem on November.

Adams subsequently missed his side’s Turin derby clash with Juventus at the weekend and now won’t be reporting for international duty either.

As well as Adams, Lewis Morgan has withdrawn from the squad.

He’s still in the thick of MLS play-off action with his New York Red Bulls side advancing to the Eastern Conference semi-final.

It is, however, ANOTHER star who has been involved in those play-offs who Steve Clarke has called upon as a replacement.

The Scottish FA have confirmed that Stuart Armstrong has been added to the squad.

The 32-year old is now with Vancouver Whitecaps in Canada, and joins teammate Ryan Gauld in the squad.

It’s the former Celtic star’s first call-up since he featured at the Euros in Germany in the summer.

Armstrong left Southampton at the end of last season and didn’t find a new club until joining Vancouver in September.

Now that he’s been back fit and playing regularly, he’s back in the Scotland fold.

Armstrong’s Whitecaps side had been featuring in the MLS play-offs, but were eliminated at the first hurdle by LA Galaxy in a best of three games series.

Clarke’s side bring an end to the Nations League campaign with two huge games over the next week.

First up, it’s Croatia at Hampden on Friday followed by a trip to Poland next Monday.
