Horror rush hour crash sees car ‘overturned’ and Scots city road ‘blocked’

DRIVERS in a Scottish city are facing rush hour chaos this evening after a car has reportedly overturned and blocked the road.

Motorists are being warned of the slow moving traffic in Edinburgh.

The one-vehicle crash happened at around 4.30pm on Inverleith Row in the capital.

Police and ambulance crews are at the scene.

Edinburgh Travel News took to X to warn drivers of the “overturned” car which has “blocked” the road.

They said: “A car has overturned heading northbound between Eildon Terrace and Warriston Drive.

“The road is currently blocked and traffic very slow both ways.”

Diversions are currently in place as emergency crews deal with the incident.

It is unknown if there are any injuries.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We attended a report of a crash involving one vehicle which happened around 4.30pm on Wednesday, 23 October, 2024 on Inverleith Road, Edinburgh.

“Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted.

“Diversions are in place.”
