And residents of the city will be among the first to benefit.

Last month, EE launched their 5G standalone network in 15 cities across the UK.

Dundee will be one of the first areas in the country to enjoy the upgrade.

The company says the changes will bring faster speeds, improved phone battery life, and more reliable connectivity in busy areas.

Their plan is to add the city to the network before the end of this year.

Their new 5G standalone project from EE is powered by artificial intelligence (AI).

It allows customers to make calls and use their mobile data in more remote areas.

The network also aims to deliver better mobile performance, and improve gaming and streaming capabilities.

The firm claims using their new product will allow handsets to connect solely to their 5G network.

They also claim customers will benefit from additional capacity at busy events such as concerts.

The service will be available in Dundee on several different devices.

While these devices will be able to access the network immediately, further phones and other devices will be connected in the coming months.

EE unveiled their standalone network in September.

By the end of the year, they aim to have all of the UK’s busiest cities connected including Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, London, Cardiff, Belfast, Edinburgh, and Glasgow.
