‘A wave of excitement’: New shop opens on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile
Located opposite The Witchery‘s restaurants on the Castlehill, the shop’s transformation is said to reflect Thomson’s passion for creating unforgettable experiences by “sympathetically transforming historic spaces and giving them new life”.
Steven Allam, general manager of The Witchery, said: “The opening of The Witchery Shop brings a wave of excitement and energy to our already exciting offerings.
“Myself and the entire hotel team are thrilled to embark on this new chapter. It feels like a natural evolution of The Witchery, enhancing the guest experience while staying true to our heritage and commitment to excellence and the future of our planet.”
Just as the restaurant supports local growers, butchers, fishermen, and foragers, The Witchery Shop will shine a light on the very best in Scottish craftsmanship and creative talent whilst helping to support traditional skills.
Visitors will discover products including an exclusive tartan and tweed designed by renowned Scottish textile designer Araminta Campbell and bespoke leather luggage crafted by Simon Harvey-Potts and his team at Mackenzie Leather in Edinburgh’s historic Old Town.
Available to purchase elsewhere will be items served in the Witchery’s dining rooms such as the hotel’s own blend of speciality tea, champagne, limited edition single cask whisky, gin, and chocolates.
