Forgotten Scotland hero who missed out on Euros nets first goal since December

HE was given his international debut in November 2021 by Steve Clarke.

At the time Scotland were playing their World Cup Qualifying matches.

And Jacob Brown played a part in those games after making history with his new side Luton Town.

The newly promoted side won their first ever Premier League game after Brown netted the winner in a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace.

But damage to the cartilage in his knee saw his success short lived as he was ruled out from February until the end of the season.

He missed his chance to head to the Euros with his country and couldn’t help his club avoid relegation.

But he has returned to the fold with his side who now ply their trade in the Championship.

And he netted his first goal since December with a stoppage time to put Luton 3-0 up over Watford.

He picked up a goal kick from just inside the opposition half before showing a good turn of pace to get to the box.

And he sent the defender the wrong way with some great footwork before placing the ball into the bottom corner.

His return to goal scoring ways saw him swarmed by his team mates and fans at the advertising boards at on of the stands.

And it’s great news for Steve Clarke who has the striker back available for the national squad.

Che Adams and Lyndon Dykes have been the two main strikers up top but now there is another option available to the national boss.

Scotland face Croatia at Hampden and then head to Poland for the final Nations League game, both next month.
