Lafaix Signs with Rangers FC in Scotland – Cal Poly

“I am extremely excited to be here and to start my journey with Rangers,” Lafaix said in an interview with RangersTV following the announcement of her signing. “When I think of Scottish football, I think about Rangers, so obviously every time I asked for some feedback from some of my old teammates or my parents they were all extremely delighted to hear that it was Rangers that was interested.”

The 23-year-old born in Los Gatos, Calif., played for the Mustangs from 2019-22 and was named Big West Midfielder of the Year in 2021 and 2022, becoming the first and only athlete in conference history to receive the award in two consecutive seasons.

Lafaix played in 12 matches for Bordeaux last season, which was a member of D1 Arkema — the highest division in France — at the time.

Last year, the Rangers won the Scottish Women’s Cup for the first time in the club’s history.

“I cannot wait to get my first minutes with the team,” Lafaix said.
