England can see path to T20 World Cup final after crushing Scotland
Ruthless England hammered Scotland by ten wickets to all but secure their semi-final place at the Women’s T20 World Cup — and they look increasingly good bet to reach the final.
The opening pair of Maia Bouchier and Danni Wyatt-Hodge combined to make short work of chasing the 110 required for victory in Sharjah — sealing victory with ten overs to spare.
Bouchier made 62 from 34 balls, the tournament’s highest individual score, and Wyatt-Hodge an equally aggressive 51 from 26 to lift England to the top of group B on net run rate above South Africa, who are also on six points but have played a game more.
