PFL Glasgow: Scotland’s Stevie Ray stops Welshman Lewis Long

The event was the first time PFL had put a show on in Scotland, which included the semi-finals of the PFL Europe $100,000 [£75,000] tournaments.

England’s Connor Hughes, Lewis McGrillen-Evans and Shanelle Dyer all qualified for December’s finals in Lyon, but Dean Garnett and Jack Grant both missed out.

Liverpool’s Hughes took a unanimous decision win at lightwieght against Spain’s Ignacio Capella, while London flyweight Dyer was on the right side of a split decision over Italian Valentina Scatizzi.

In the men’s bantamweight semi-final, Garnett suffered a third-round knockout, Manchester’s McGrillen-Evans catching his Liverpudlian rival with a left hook.

And Macedonian Florim Zendeli took a split decision win against Grimsby’s Grant in their welterweight contest.
