Scotland Nations League TV riddle could have a major free solution
SCOTLAND fans could be FREE from a Nations League blackout, according to a report.
Sunsport understands Uefa are currently in talks with Viaplay and other broadcasters over the rights to this week’s games against Poland at Hampden and the trip to Portugal.
Steve Clarke‘s side is already meeting up and some went through their first training session earlier today.
However with kick-off less than 72 hours away armchair fans STILL don’t know where they’ll be watching the game – or even if they will at all.
Earlier today we told how Viaplay’s withdrawal from the UK television market had seen them hand over their sports packages to Premier Sports – including sponsorship of football‘s League Cup.
However the broadcaster’s schedule currently draw a BLANK when it comes to Nations League matches on Thursday and Sunday.

Instead of Steve Clarke‘s squad against Robert Lewandowski and Cristiano Ronaldo – there are re-runs of La Liga clashes billed in their place.
A resolution is expected to be reached ahead of the game and the Daily Record reckons there will be good news for the Tartan Army‘s armchair division.
They claim the BBC will team up with Premier Sports to give fans a free-to-air option on the big games.
Uefa sell the rights to Nations League and international qualifiers centrally – so the decision is outwith Hampden control.
But if an agreement is reached the games could be shown simultaneously on the national broadcaster’s channels and Premier’s subscription service.
Scotland are in the mix alongside this week’s opponents and Croatia in the top section of the Nations League.
They earned ‘promotion’ to the League A by topping their group two years ago.
The Nations League finals will be held next summer and also include an alternative qualification route via play-offs for the World Cup.
Steve Clarke: “It’s our first time in League A so it was always going to be a difficult draw.
“We’ve got three fantastic opponents and hopefully six very good matches.
“I’m always a great believer, if you want to improve you have to play against the best teams.
“When you’ve in football as long as I have, you don’t make too many predictions.

“I predict tough matches but hopefully they will be tough matches for our opponents as well.”
As Sunsport exclusively revealed, Steve Clarke has called up Ryan Gauld to his squad for the first time, and Liverpool winger Ben Doak – on loan at Middlesbrough – is in line for a debut.
