Aberdeen: Kevin Nisbet makes move for ‘complete reset’

Scotland striker Kevin Nisbet says he has come to Aberdeen “to do a reset completely” and get back in contention for the national side.

The 27-year-old arrived at Pittodrie on loan from English Championship club Millwall after a frustrating time down south.

Nisbet managed just five goals in 29 appearances in an injury-hit campaign after his move from Hibernian last summer.

He was left out of the squad for Millwall’s final game of last season for what manager Neil Harris described as a “disciplinary matter”.

“I’ve come up to Aberdeen to do a reset completely, get myself fitter and just get back to enjoying football again,” Nisbet said.

“I probably didn’t enjoy it as much down there. I wasn’t playing, I was injured and I was down there myself a lot.

“I think getting back up here around family, around friends, I know a few boys in the dressing room, I know a few of the backroom staff, so it has helped me settle in very quickly and it is just about getting back playing and scoring goals.”
