Cubo Launches State-of-the-Art Workspace in Glasgow’s Prestigious Aurora Building – Scottish Business News

Leading flex office operator, Cubo, has opened the doors of its exciting new workspace in Glasgow.

Cubo occupies the entire second floor of Aurora at 120 Bothwell Street, the most prestigious business address in Glasgow.

The new Cubo offering is set to transform the city’s office landscape with its innovative approach to workspace design and amenities. It features circa 20,000 sq. ft of office accommodation, with around 500 desks across 21 private offices and two co-working areas, available for professionals seeking a dynamic and collaborative work environment.

Aurora has been developed by Forma and development partner HFD Group and is a stunning comprehensive refurbishment of the 175,000 sq. ft corporate office HQ which sits in the heart of Glasgow’s central business district and the city’s International financial district.

The building boasts exceptional ESG credentials and holds an EPC A+ rating, BREEAM Excellent certification, and is pre-assessed against WELL Gold certification, and WiredScore Platinum.

It is surrounded by a vibrant and eclectic mix of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops, along with retail, fitness centres, and hotels. It has direct access to the city’s public transport links and parking facilities, which makes the location home to many of the city’s key businesses.

This refurbishment also includes a communal 4,000 sq. ft rooftop terrace, wellness area, and fitness studio, plus extensive, high-quality occupier amenities including an auditorium, town hall meeting space, and podcast studio.

The new Cubo workspace will also have bookable board rooms with the latest AV tech and an in-house community team.

Cubo’s arrival in Glasgow will be its second venture in Scotland and follows Cubo Edinburgh, which opened at 40 Princes Street in July 2023.

The new Glasgow workspace is the twelfth location in the Cubo portfolio. Its launch will open up access to the newly renovated Aurora building to SMEs who would otherwise be too small to be able to take a lease in the building.

There has already been significant interest from corporate businesses looking to be based in one of the city’s most high-profile buildings.

Commenting on the launch of Cubo Glasgow, Marc Brough, CEO at Cubo, said: “We are thrilled to launch what we believe is the best-in-class new Grade A space in the city.

“Cubo Glasgow will offer a range of cutting-edge amenities designed to enhance productivity and well-being and provide businesses with a dynamic environment where they can thrive.

“We already have a number of pre-lets and look forward to delivering exceptional workspaces tailored to the needs of modern businesses.”

Commenting on the most recent occupier at Aurora, Ben Dickins – UK Head of Asset Management at Forma, said:

“The launch of Cubo as the serviced office provider at Aurora provides further support to our wider occupiers to facilitate either organic growth or project space.

The comprehensive refurbishment of Aurora and the delivery of a smart and highly sustainable office is continuing to be attractive to a wide range of corporate occupiers.”

Cubo is transforming the traditional serviced office model. It provides an experience-led lifestyle offer to meet the changing needs of businesses – from hot desking to a designated desk, private office, or entire floor.

Member benefits include large communal spaces, private areas, break-out spaces, kitchens, an inclusive barista service with beer and prosecco on tap, along with a programme of free networking events.

As a result, Cubo is rapidly becoming the location of choice for SMEs, tech companies, and corporates looking for a world-class environment where they can develop and thrive and is attracting a diverse range of businesses.
