The former Leeds and Rangers star told talkSPORT: “Actually something that you might like, I know you play the five-a-sides up at Rouken Glen.

“I’ve met Boydy (Kris Boyd) and Faddy (James McFadden) up there a couple of times.

“I’ve taken over the registration for a world wide corporate football company and I’ve got the registration for Scotland.

“I’ve got an event coming up next month and the winner of that event goes to the corporate world cup, all expenses paid, to Crete, to represent Scotland.

“Keep your eyes peeled, you might have to put a team in.”

Announcing McCormack’s role in the tournament, FIFCO said on their website: “A Premier league legend, and former Scottish International, Ross McCormack has joined the ranks of FIFCO as the official representative for Scotland.”

The aim of the tournament is to involve the next generation of footballers to get involved with the sport, raising awareness of the benefits of physical activity and keeping youngsters active.

FIFCO will be putting on it’s sixth ‘World Corporate Champions Cup’ in October, and McCormack will have a team entering the event.

McCormack made 13 international appearances for Scotland during his career.

He made a name for himself at Leeds United, making 143 league appearances for the Elland Road club.

McCormack has joined ELEVENTH tier English side, Doncaster City to prolongue his career and help the side on their promotion push, and was one of three football veterans to do so.

Former Celtic ace Charlie Mulgrew, and Republic of Ireland star Wes Hoolahan both joined the club at the end of last season.

But now he is also turning his attention to the small sided game.
