Knowvate Hub Launches Ideation Bootcamp to empower BAME entrepreneurs in Scotland – Scottish Business News

Knowvate Hub, a community of ethnic minority entrepreneurs committed to fostering ecosystem diversity, is excited to announce the launch of its Ideation Bootcamp programme in two Scottish cities this autumn.

Founded by Onyinye Igbokwe and Enoch Adeyemi, this initiative aims to assist aspiring entrepreneurs in transforming their ideas into reality while supporting early-stage founders in building successful businesses.

The intensive three-day bootcamps which are in partnership with the Royal Bank of Scoltand are scheduled to take place in Aberdeen from September 18th to 20th and in Glasgow from October 2nd to 4th, 2024. These events are specifically designed to empower Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) entrepreneurs with the essential skills and knowledge needed to launch successful startups.

Emeka Ebeniro, Growth Marketer and Programme Coordinator for Knowvate Hub, articulated the vision behind the bootcamp: “Our goal is to help people bring their ideas to life and support early-stage founders in developing thriving businesses. We have industry leaders coming to impact these founders and assist them in building technology-enabled businesses that are scalable. Ultimately, we aim to showcase our fast-growing Scottish tech and business ecosystem to the world.”

The Ideation Bootcamp will cover a range of crucial topics, including ideation techniques, effective pitching, and strategies for business growth. Participants will gain valuable skills such as building a compelling brand identity, creating a lean business model canvas, developing winning sales funnels, and much more. This comprehensive approach ensures that attendees will leave with a solid foundation for their entrepreneurial journey.

A distinguished lineup of speakers has been confirmed for the event, including:

● Dr. Yekemi Otaru, CEO of YO Ventures LTD and Chancellor at the University of West of Scotland
● Keye Oduneye, Communication Specialist, Transformative Leadership and Development Consultant
● Mandy Bailey, Accelerator Community Manager at the Royal Bank of Scotland
● Enoch Adeyemi, Co-founder of Knowvate Hub
● Onyinye Igbokwe, Co-founder of Knowvate Hub
● Kevin Walls, COO of Scottish Edge
● Davie Sneddon, Sales Geek

This initiative comes at a pivotal moment when diversity in entrepreneurship is increasingly recognised as vital for innovation and economic growth. By focusing on BAME entrepreneurs, Knowvate Hub addresses a significant gap in the startup ecosystem and contributes to a more inclusive business landscape in Scotland.

The Ideation Bootcamp is proud to have the support and partnership of key players in Scotland’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, including Startup Grind Scotland, Codebase, Scottish Edge, and Royal Bank of Scotland. These collaborations further enhance the value and resources available to participants, providing them with access to a broader network of support and opportunities.

Aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage founders interested in participating in the Ideation Bootcamp can find more information and registration details on the Knowvate Hub website https://www.knowvatehub.com/.
