Aberdeen Strengthens Attack with Loan Signing of Scotland Striker Kevin Nisbet – Aberdeen Business News

Aberdeen FC has bolstered its attacking options by securing the services of Scotland international Kevin Nisbet on a season-long loan from Millwall.

Nisbet, who left Hibernian for Millwall last year in a £2 million deal, was reportedly also a target for his former club Hibs, but he opted to join the Dons instead.

Nisbet expressed his excitement about the move, stating: “As soon as I knew Aberdeen were interested, it was an easy decision.

“I had other options in both Scotland and down south, but the way Aberdeen has started the season made me want to be a part of it. This is a massive club with a strong presence, and I’m eager to contribute.”

The 27-year-old striker brings with him an impressive goal-scoring record, having netted 39 goals in 101 appearances for Hibernian before his move to Millwall.

Despite a challenging stint in England, where he scored five goals in 29 appearances, Nisbet is eager to make his mark in the Scottish Premiership once again.

Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin praised the new signing, saying: “Kevin is a fantastic addition to our squad. His hunger and commitment to joining Aberdeen were clear from the outset.

“He’s a proven goal-scorer in Scotland, and his experience and energy will be invaluable to us.”

Nisbet is expected to make an immediate impact, filling the gap left by Bojan Miovski, who recently departed for Girona in a club-record transfer.

The Dons faithful will be eager to see Nisbet in action, with his debut possibly coming in Sunday’s league match against Kilmarnock.

This signing highlights Aberdeen’s ambition to compete at the highest level, as they continue to build a team capable of challenging for honours in the Scottish Premiership.

Fans will be hoping that Nisbet can rediscover his best form and lead the line effectively for the Dons this season.
