ROSS County defender Dylan Smith has been called up to the Scotland squad for three friendlies which are due to take place next month.

The 18-year-old from Inverness has been selected to play in friendlies against Azerbaijan, Faroe Islands and Netherlands in Pinatar, Spain in September.

Smith signed an apprenticeship with Ross County two years ago and has featured in the Ross County first team 19 times during his career.

The former Culloden Academy pupil has four international caps for Scotland at under-19 level.
