Among them is World No. 2 Rory McIlroy, who will make his first start since a devastating loss at the 2024 U.S. Open last month. But history is on Rory’s side. Last year, he birdied the final two holes on Sunday at the Renaissance Club to win his first event of 2023, making him the defending champion this week.

His title defense will be contested by other stars like Xander Schauffele and Ludvig Aberg.
