Scotland 0-1 Hungary LIVE: Csoboth scores late on to send Tartan Army home

Scotland 0-1 Hungary – REACTION

Right, that’s it from us this evening as Scotland’s Euro 2024 campaign comes to an end.

They fought hard and did all they could across the three games, but it wasn’t to be.

We hope you enjoyed the coverage, and we’ll see you all again soon.

In the meantime, check out the match report.

Clarke reacts

Scotland manager Steve Clarke has been speaking to the BBC about the Tartan Army’s crushing defeat to Hungary.

He said: “It was a tough night for us.

“We couldn’t do what we wanted, so we suffer together.

“We are as sad as the supporters are.”

However, he is adamant that Scotland should have had a penalty for a foul on Stuart Armstrong.

“The moment of the game is the penalty. It’s 100 per cent a penalty.

“Somebody has to explain to me why that’s not a penalty because otherwise, I’m thinking there is something wrong.”

Gunn devastated

Scotland goalkeeper Angus Gunn bravely decided to tackle the media in the immediate aftermath of the Tartan Army’s defeat to Hungary, which ended their Euro 2024 dreams.

Speaking to the BBC, he said: “It’s hard to speak, to be honest.

“At the end of the day, we’re out and nothing really matters anymore.”
