Former chairman of HS2 joins the board of manufacturing institute

1. The National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) has added the former chairman of the HS2 rail project to its board.
Allan Cook was also previously the chairman of the engineering consultancy Atkins.
Allan Cook joins NMIS as a non-executive director

He joins NMIS as a non-executive director along with Neil Logan, who was the co-founder and later chief executive of Incremental Group.
NMIS is operated by the University of Strathclyde and Sir Jim McDonald, the principal, said he was delighted to add two people with such a range of industry experience to the board.
Logan said: “With my background in digital transformation and technology, I have been at the forefront of a range of projects and
