The numbers have been crunched to pick out the ten ‘dirtiest’ players at Euro 2024 – and there’s a Scotland star on the list.

Hisense UK have identified the players most likely to be cautioned at this summer’s footie extravaganza.

Sitting in sixth position is none other than our very own Ryan Porteous.

The 25-year old former Hibs star featured 42 times across all competitions for Watford last season and was shown a yellow card on FIFTEEN occasions.

That averages out at 0.36 yellow cards per game, with Porteous also committing 1.3 fouls per game.

He hasn’t, however, been booked this calendar year while playing for Scotland.

Top of the pile is Serbia’s no-nonsense centre-back Strahinja Pavlovic.

The Red Bull Salzburg man featured just 25 times for his club last season but still managed to pick up 11 yellow cards.

With 0.44 yellows per game, Pavlovic is the man deemed most likely to be booked at the finals.

England’s Luke Shaw is 7th on the list while Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella is 10th.

Steve Clarke has some big selection calls to make

There’s also another name familiar to Scottish Premiership fans.

Ylber Ramadani was a fans’ favourite at Aberdeen during his sole season in Scottish football.

The 28-year old was a standout during the 2022/23 campaign and earned a move to Serie A with Lecce last summer.

And now he’s off to the Euros with the German-born midfielder turning out for Albania.

Ramadani was shown 14 yellow cards in 40 games for his club last season, placing him 8th on this list.

As mentioned, 42-year old Frenchman Turpin will be the man in the middle for Friday’s huge curtain-raiser in Munich.

He’s officiated Rangers three times in Europe before, having also taken charge of Hibs and Motherwell in continental competitions.

Turpin will be officiating at his third European Championships having also refereed at two World Cups.

He was the referee for the Champions League Final in 2022 having taken charge of the Europa League Final the campaign before.
