Final Scotland Euro 2024 squad revealed as goalkeeper and defender drop out
JOHN SOUTTAR and Craig Gordon are being cut from Scotland’s Euro 2024 squad.
SunSport understands Steve Clarke is close to unveiling his 26-man finals pool.
Rangers defender Souttar and veteran Hearts keeper Gordon will miss out on a place in Germany.
The Ibrox centre-half struggled with injury in the final weeks of the season and missed Monday’s win over Gibraltar.
But with Scotland well stocked for central defenders, Souttar will be left out.
Gordon, 41, is also will not to travel to Germany after Clarke opted to cut a keeper.

Angus Gunn, Zander Clark and Liam Kelly will be the three goalies on the plane to Germany.
The Norwich City man will be No1, with Gordon’s Hearts team-mate as back-up.
Reports surfaced earlier this evening that Gordon would be the unlucky goalie to miss out on the tournament.
Gordon, capped 74 times, battled back from a double leg break in December 2022 to stake his claim – but is facing heartache.
He has been one of the nation’s best goalkeepers over the past 20 years but has never represented his country at a major tournament.
The shot-stopper missed out along with other notable stars during Scotland’s long absence from the Euros and the World Cup such as Darren Fletcher, Scott Brown and James McFadden.
Then when Euro 2020 came around, he was in the final squad but was an unused substitute due to the presence of David Marshall as the No1 at that time.
Clark is expected to announce his squad before Friday night’s friendly with Finland.
