Scotland: Frank stays Hickey still progressing ahead of Euros

Brentford head coach Thomas Frank admits Aaron Hickey’s Euros chances could be hampered by a lack of game time.

The Danish boss also reiterated his belief that the Scotland right-back won’t feature at club level again this season.

With Nathan Patterson’s campaign also ended by injury, Steve Clarke’s squad is currently short of options in Hickey’s position.

“He’s progressing,” Frank said.

“As he’s been out for so long I’m not counting on [him playing this season] but let’s see what happens in the next weeks – right now I’m not expecting it.

“I guess it’s not fantastic [for his Euros chances] but that’s not for me to judge.”
