60% of Scottish properties get business rates relief

1. More than 153,000 properties in Scotland benefit from business rates reliefs, according to official statistics released on Tuesday.
The total value of that relief was put at £727 million, with 61 per cent of all premises getting some form of help.
The data showed that as of June 121,790 properties, or 48 per cent of those recorded, were fully exempt from paying rates. The reliefs for them totalled £520 million.
