£5.5m industrial equipment recycling plant announced

1. A new £5.5 million circular manufacturing facility is to be built, with a focus on recycling industrial equipment.
The plant, dubbed the ReMake Value Retention Centre (RVRC), will be located within the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) in Renfrew.
The new factory is being funded through UK Research and Innovation’s accelerating the green economy programme. The RVRC will initially look at how things such as aerospace components, energy infrastructure and other industrial kit can be re-used or remade instead of being sent to landfill.
